I have an aunt, Margaret Elizabeth, who goes by Margie (MAR - ghee). I love the name on her, but I can't see that nickname on a little girl. I love Maggie and I don't think Margaret is too long to use the full name.

For middle names, I love Elizabeth and Isabelle. They are a bit long, so if you wanted something shorter, Jane, Eileen and Diane are all nice.
