I just recently started seeing BA writen on here and I don't go on all the time. I didn't go on for a couple years. Sorry, my life doesn't revolve around site "lingo".

Pull the other one, it's got bells on.
"BA" for "birth announcement" has been being used since archiving started, so at least since August 2004. If you've been here all this time, you've seen it before, no question. Plus if you've been lurking on the site since then you would have been present for the long debates that lead to the formation of better site rules and the FAQ abbreviations list.
I think you really mean that you have "occasionally visited the site" since 2003 . . . otherwise you'd have some clue about how the site works and what goes on here. Your assertion comes across as an attempt to claim that you're one of the "old-timers", when you're clearly not, and again I find it in bad taste.
