[Opinions] Re: Rose
in reply to a message by Laine
I love Rose as a fn. It's by far my favourite flower name. I try not to use it as a mn because it's been used so often (especially by those using a unisex/masculine name). That's why my top combo has been Isabel Rosemary and Isabel Primrose, the Rose I love is still there but it's different. Here in the UK Rosie is quite popular as a full name but people seem to have forgotten about using Rose as anything but a mn (or hyphenating it, England seems to be obsessed by hyphenating names at the moment and Rose is common for the second part - Ellie-Rose, Evie-Rose, Sophie-Rose, Millie-Rose and so on. Either that or Mae/May/Mai). Rosie is nice but I prefer it to be kept as a nn.
