I'm looking for the etymology of the name Erzuli. Erzuli is the Voodoo goddess of Love, that's all what I know about the name. I am not sure about the linguistic background, but I suppose it ultimately comes from West Africa.

I found two alternate spellings : Erzili and Ezili; both sound like antillean creole variants to me.
