Isolde is lovely, but Izzy isn't very attractive, imo. Sounds like "is he".

I think it is gorgeous but I dislike the nn Izzy. I would prefer to keep the name the way it is.

Isolde is gorgeous and mysterious, when it's pronounced ih-SOL-duh, anyway. The ih-SOLD pr sounds too much like "it's old". I don't care for Izzy at all, though.

I love Isolde. Izzy . . . not so much; but that's mostly due to a personal association.
