I don't really like it. It's just not my style, and I think of it as a word more than a name. Mirena, me-RAY-na, is prettier to me.

I like it! I have a friend named Marina who's pretty awesome, so very good associations. There's that whole "you mean a harbor?" thing, but it's a great name regardless.

Beautiful! I have really liked it since I was a young girl. And it works well in so many countries and has such a lovely sound in many languages.

I absolutely adore Marina. It's so gorgeous and underused, and I love the association with the sea.

I love Marina and always have. I knew a girl named Marina ReallyNorwegianSurname growing up, and I always thought it sounded really interesting and unusual. And a few years ago, I read Armageddon Summer by Jane Yolen and Bruce Coville, in which one of the two main characters is a Marina. It's an excellent little book, and the character is a good one. :D So lots of good associations with the name.
