I adore Linnea, and I pronounce lin-NAY-uh. I'm not too keen on Liadan though. Like other posters have said, I like the look, but not the sound.
Linnea -- I prn the same as you, and I love it. It's been on my PNL for ages.
Liadan -- I say LEE-din because I've seen this before and I know the proper prn. I don't really like the look or sound, though.

I'm not a fan of Linnea, but I love Liadan. I was quite sad to see how it was pronounced on BTN, though - on another site I had read that it was pronounced lee-ah-din, which I think is much nicer personally :-) I would definitely consider using Liadan, partially for the sound and partially for the family connection (I could use the meaning, 'grey lady', to honour my father, Graeme. Though my nephew Grayson was named after him, so I probably don't need to!)
Also - if I just saw Linnea written down, without your pronounciation next to it, I would say lyn-nee-ah.

Linnea - Linnea used to be a favorite of mine. I still like it but not like I used to. I pronounce it the same way you do and it irks me to hear people say it as if it rhymes with Minnie or Ginny.
Liadan - This is one of those names that I really wanna like, but I just can't. I'm not sure why, it just falls flat with me, like my brain just lumps it in with any other name that ends with -on, -an, -en, -in. And despite the fact that I know the correct pronunciation my brain keeps insisting on pronouncing it Lee Aidan which just makes it worse.

I don't like Linnea, but it's a family name.. "all" girls on my fathers side of the family has it as a MN.
I prefer Liadan, which I love.
I prn Linnea the same way as you in english.. :)

For a long time I thought it was LEE-ah-dawn...and to be honest, I prefer my pronunciation.
I like Linnea, and prn. it same way as you.
I like Liadan too, but can never make myself prn. it correctly *blushes* Before I knew how to prn. it, I always thoguht it was like Leah-dan, and I much prefer that to Lee-din, no idea why. I still really like it :)
I think they are both very spunky, great names.

I like Linnea a lot - how do you pronounce the other name?
I'd pronounce them lih-NAY-a and LEE-din, but if I didn't know any better I'd probably say LEE-a-din for the latter.
That aside, I think they're both lovely. Linnea is gorgeous, but for some reason it's never appealed to me. I'm not sure how that works, really, it just isn't there . . . . Liadan, however, is growing on me rapidly. I think I'm in love with it.

I love Linnea, I'd pronounce it the same. I don't like Liadan; it looks masculine and it'd be pronounced all wrong. I'd pronounce it Lee-AH-dan. :P
I'm not too keen on Liadan, but I like Linnea.
Oops posted in the wrong spot. Meant for main post.
I like Linnea. Liadan is nms. I would probably pronounce Linnea (LIN-ee-a). I would pronounce Liadan (LIE-aiden).

Linnea is very pretty. I'd say it the same as you do.
Liadan is not at all nice, imo. It looks like a medicine.
