I really am starting to like Avril for a girl. WDYT? I know it reminds a lot of people of the singer, but I don't mind I like her songs [though it's not after her]. I like April, but I don't like the way it sounds [the ape part mixed with the ril is unpleasant to me, though it looks gorgeous], I much prefer Avril.

Any MN suggestions?

Avril was a favourite of mine as a kid - probably courtesy of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", I believe the only main female character (the journalist) was named Avril.

I remember telling Mum that when I grew up I was going to have twin daughters named April and Avril. She drily informed me that I couldn't, because they were the same name. Henceforth my twins were going to be Avril and Zoe :-D

Anyway . . . Avril is nms these days, but it's pretty and respectable.

Not only does it remind me of Avril Lavigne, I always see Advil wen I look at it. =/ I much prefer April.

It's ok, but I think April sounds better in English. April is very pretty.
