[Opinions] Millie (for a girl)
Yay or Nay?

Yay - but only if it's a nn
Yay-ish...
It's really cute. But I don't like it as a full name. It's great as a nn.

I love it!
But I prefer it as a nickname for a more formal name such as Matilda, Milla, Camilla, Amelia, Emilia...

Nay!
It's so popular / trendy here in England I've really grown to dislike it.

Ditto.
Nay because it's kinda cute on a small child but can you imagine an adult woman introducing herself at work as Millie? Doesn't do it for me!

Yay, but as a nn for Amelia or Camille.
Nay. It reminds me of an annoying character on Freaks and Geeks. One of the greatest shows ever, but not a character I'd like associated with my child. Most people wouldn't have that association with the name, of course.
"Nay" as a formal name in itself. I prefer it as a nickname for Millicent, which I think is lovely.
"Everything today is thoroughly modern..."
...Is what I think of when I hear the name. I didn't used to like it, but now I don't mind it for someone else's child (nn or full name). If I knew her, she'd hear a lot of "Beat the drums 'cause here comes thoroughly modern Millie now!" from me, though. ;)

Yay! So adorable!
Yay!
As a nn though.
As a nn though.
Big yay, but only as a NN, not by itself.

It sounds liek either an old lady or a pet or farmyard animal.

I asked this of some family awhile back and I got:
"Remind me of a millipede"
"Reminds me of meal worms"
"Reminds me of the band Millie Vanilli" (Which I don't even think is the name of that band from a long time ago)
Personally, I find it cute, but it is better as a nn.

It was the name of that band...that's right! Thanks!
Yaaaay!!!
