Yes, I use more normal names or completely made up (I'd never use a made up name IRL)

Both are great, but I usually use people names for pets

I also named some of my parents' fish: goldfish: Serafientje "Sera"(acc to me) "Fientje" (acc to my mom), two black fish: Sneak and Snake
My late rats were Oscar, Djengis (Genghis) and Attila
