[Opinions] Rhiannon?
I never liked this before but over the last month or so I have been starting to like it. What do you think to it?

I love Rhiannon!
I like it, but couldn't ever use it, not that I would since I like other names better. It's the name of my DH's little sister.
Dissenting opinion
I strongly dislike Rhiannon. I hate the h in it, it sounds whiny to me, and it seems like it's trying way too hard, and it seems very "new" to me. It also kind of sounds masculine to me sometimes. In fact the other day, my friend and I were flipping through the yearbook and we saw a girl named Rhiannon, and I said "Boy am I glad that's not my name," and Grace said "Yeah."
I try to explain why I dislike names when I don't like them, I hope that was slightly helpful :)

In response to Blaarg Rhiannon isn't a "very new" name at all. It is Welsh and Basque French, but like Rowan it has had a sudden surge in popularity and become considered more common and less refined.
I think that Rhianna is too common. I don't really like Rhiannon either.

I love it. It's not really heard too often, but it's not too over the top either. It's in my top 10 at the moment.
Love it! It's really pretty, plus it seems like such a mystical name, like something out of Avalon.
actually it is a lesser character from the Arthur/Avalon myths--that is where I first heard the name, she is the mythological wife of the King Pwyll of Wales and also goes by the name Epona -- she is the Celtic goddess of horses :)
I love this name!
I love this name!
I like it... It's slowly starting to become a favorite of mine, and I like how it looks.
I rather like it, especially the look.
Like the look too, but struggle to pronounce it
I don't want to sound square but isn't it just Ree-ann-on?
Really? It's pretty straightforward, imo
With all due respect that's a little patronising. I live in South Africa where the name is not common at all so the pronunciation isn't that obvious to me. I did take the trouble to look up the pronunciation and imo it isn't that straight forward especially for someone who is not familiar with the name.
