Rowan Baker and I met after he became a regular customer at the diner. He always came early in the morning-right after we opened. One day we got to talking and I found out that Rowan was a medical student at the local college. He has med school and a residency to go before he can be considered a "real" doctor.
Rowan and I had been dating for a little over a month when he invited me over to a party at his house. Against my better judgement, I went. Well, things got crazy and before I knew it Rowan and I were alone and doing things I swore I'd never do. I might have held out, except I think one of Rowan's buddies spiked my drink.
After the party, I tried to continue as normal, but things didn't feel right. When I was a week late I picked up a pregnancy test at the drug store. I hoped that it wouldn't be positive...but it was. The next week I had a doctor's appointment that confirmed my fears. I was pregnant!
So, here I am, six and a half months pregnant. Just a few days ago I found out that I'll be having a baby girl. I've already decided that her name will be Elisabeth Harper Baker. I'm working extra hard at the diner, trying to make a few extra bucks so I can support Elisabeth and myself. I'm really hoping not to move in with my parents or friends. Rowan proposed last night as well and we plan to get married a few weeks after Elisabeth is born.
