[Opinions] Allegra?
I know, I know, it's a name of medication. But that aside, what do you think of Allegra?
Thanks. :)
Thanks. :)

I like this name. It reminds me of flowing music.

I haven't come across the medication on this side of the Atlantic. The only thing that bothers me is the prominence of the word "leg" in AlLEGra. I still quite like it, for someone else's child - it just isn't a favourite.

I don't like it :(. A friend of ours just named their baby girl this and it's not a horrible name, but it's a name that I just don't find very attractive. :(
I really like it. It's pretty. I don't understand why they had to go and use a nice girls' name for a medication. Grrr...
I really like it. It's feminine and strong as well as underused.
I used to think that it's one of the most gorgeous names in the world, but now - for some unknown reason - I've started to find it a tiny bit yuppieish and pretentious, so it's no longer among my top favourites. Nevertheless, I still think it's a beautiful, melodic name.
I think it is pretty and unusual. A bubbly, musical type of name.
I absolutely love Allegra. It's my second favourite girls name. I think it is elegant and classy sounding and the allergy medication reference would not deter me from using it.
I love this name, as its absolutely gorgeous, and I hardly ever think of the medicine. I also know someone named this, and while its pleasantly feminine it can also work for a total tomboy, which is always good.
I don't find the name to be horrible but it is not my style.
No. I don't like it. There's the medication, but there is also the word in music, Allegro. Allegro means fast. I just don't like it.
Very pretty and sweet. The name just seems to dance.
I've always liked it. It reminds me of the music lessons I took growing up. But that's a point in favor of the name. :-)
I have no medicine associations at all, never heard of it. Allegra is a lovely name, but I think it would do better in the middle.
I love the meaning! :)
I love the meaning! :)
I really used to hate this and think only of allergies but now I'm reading a book where one of the main characters in named Allegra and she's a dark Mexican beauty with a free spirit and I think the name suits her well and she's starting to make me really like it! I really like the meaning a lot and there are many possible nicknames such as Ella, Alle, Allie, Ellie, etc. I think it could work really well. :)
