Help[Opinions] Dillon?
My sister is thinking of naming her baby, Dillion. What do you think about the spelling of Dillion (vs Dylan)? Do you think he will constantly have to correct people when spelling his name? Would you view that as a problem?

I don't think he'll have any problem with spelling either way. I don't really like the name in general, but it's ok, and if I had to pick, I'd definitely say Dylan.

I prefer Dylan. He probably would have to correct people on spelling, but that's not a problem. I just think Dylan looks better.

I think Dillon is a very cute name, although it is a bit popular. To me, because I enjoy Celtic singer Cara Dillon I usually think of the spelling Dillon as a surname and much prefer the Dylan spelling because it looks more complete and Welsh to me.
Either way the name is really cute and I think that it's one of those names where some people with ask you how to spell it and some people will just assume it's spelled one way of another, and some people just won't care. I get that all the time with my name and it can be frustrating sometimes but really shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Dillion definately not. I hope that was a mis-spelling. Like Array said that would be pronounced as "million" just with a D. I like the name Dylan. That is the name of my nephew. It is spelt Dylan so I am biased :) Dillon is cute as well. I don't think that people would mis-pronounce Dillon. My vote goes to the "Dylan" spelling though. Over all I do like the name.

Whenever I see Dillon, I think of a kid I went to school with. His name was Dillon Thomas, and once I pointed out that he shared his name (almost) with a poet.
He didn't get it.
Since then, the name Dillon has always brought to mind an ignorant person. I'm not fond of it, and if the uber-trendy Dylan/Dillon has to be used, I'd much rather see the former. However--
...Waitaminute. Dillon or Dillion? You've spelled it two different ways. Okay. If she wants to use Dillon, I don't think it'll be a problem. If she wants Dillion, everyone's going to pronounce his name like "million."
