[Opinions] The Funniest BA....... possibly ever.
I was reading a the local paper BA section, and I came to the funniest (but somewhat sad for the child) BA I think I've ever read.Triplets, born Saturday to Lamar and Janae X:
Sunday Lily(f)
Tuesday Violet(f)
and (prepare the smelling salts)........Doomsday Device (m).LMAO! The also have older sisters, Dayna and Daysi (like Daisy, I guess).

I think that Sunday Lily and Tuesday Violet are nice, if much too close for a sister/twin set for me. I rather like day names, so both names appeal to me.But Doomsday Device? Seriously? That just does not compute with me. I can't understand how anyone would even begin to think that was an acceptable name for a child. What are they going to call him for short? Doom?

WEE! How wonderful. I am so happy now.DOOMSDAY DEVICE!
THAT IS WONDERFUL!
That's even better than the set of twins my grandma taught named Ronald and Unronald

Well I see nothing wrong with Sunday Lily & Tuesday Violet [m]II would sue them ,even in a sibset, very pretty names. When combined with Doomsday Device is just hideous, and ruined a nice name set.

OH MY!.....Poor child! I can live with Sunday Lily, even Tuesday Violet (though together they are a little much). But DOOMSDAY???? WHAT ARE THE PARENTS THINKING! "Come here Doomy!" "My name is John, what's your name?" "Doomsday."poor kid.

Good grief... suppose someone had a long labor?

Oh come onThat can't be real, can it? I mean, seriously. Could it have been a hoax?
vote up1
It could have been a hoax, but why pay money to put an ad in the paper, in a section nobody really reads?

Perhaps the parents are attempting to rival celebrity baby names such as Moxie Crimefighter or Pilot Inspektor.

Perhaps. However, I sincerely don't have a big issue with Pilot (frankly just another occupation name, like Cooper, Tanner, Hunter, etcetera - only without the trendier -er ending) or Inspektor (ditto above, though unfortunately spelled), or even Crimefighter (another occupation, and at least an admirable one) and I really think Moxie is genuinely cute. Our own beloved and terribly clever Array has previously called it a "post-modern" virtue name on this very board.http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=756891&board=babyBut Doomsday Device? I can't find any redeeming qualities there. It just seems totally unreal.

That's a dang shame

I have no words..(m)No, really, I don't! I just can't get my head around why anyone would do that, even for a joke? Well, I don't think naming your kids for a laugh is the best idea anyway. Everyone who hears / sees it will most likely think someone's pulling their leg. Can you imagine a classsroom situation? Holy mother of muffins!

OMG! I can't stop laughing! Doomsday Device sounds like the name of an arch villain in a comic book (as if Sunday Lily and Tuesday Violet weren't bad enough).

Ditto, ROFL!

HORRIBLE... I hope that's fake.
