Dear Kelsie,
When I wrote you last year, we had just welcomed our second daughter to the family. Well, now, as I write, our third son is sleeping peacefully in his crib upstairs. Wyatt Felix Thompson is nearly a month old now. Wil and I are a little overwhelmed with five children under five, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
Wil's carpentry business keeps growing. He has made a lot of furniture lately and, although his workshop is here at the house, it seems like he's never home. Wil spends a lot of time out in the workshop, but he always makes time for the kids.
I enjoy taking care of the kids. I love watching them grow and learn. Once a week I take the kids to a play group with some other women from around the area. The boys absolutely love it, and they've made lots of little friends (there are at least three other boys age 4 or 5 there). I also like to take the kids to the park and go on nature walks with them.
Jack and Noah are both quite rambunctious now. Jack in particular has really turned into a wild one. He's been having a rough time with authority lately, resulting in lots of time-outs. Noah remains very active, though he willingly submits to most authority. He seems to like sports a lot. The boys are enjoying preschool. They go to school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8 am until noon. There are nine other children in their class (six girls, three boys).
Mary is two. She still follows Wil around everywhere. She loves to run and is quite active. She is a sweet child, and loves to be around people.
Elena is one. She is a lot like Mary was at this age except that she doesn't like being outside. She is very clean and doesn't like to be dirty. Elena doesn't say much, but you can tell her mind is working.
Wyatt is the baby. He loves to watch his older siblings play around the house. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
