Luke and I are delighted to announce that we have welcomed daughter number two, Elizabeth Rachel Victoria, into our lives! Ella was born August 8th at 9:34 AM, weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces; 19 1/2 inches long. She is of course welcomed home by her big brothers and sisters, who for the most part are delighted about our newest arrival. Nicholas turned six in July and is such a protective brother; he wants to take his baby sister on the first day of first grade for show-and-tell. Jonathan and Samuel will be four in October and are getting ready for preschool; they were hoping to have a little brother, so needless to say, they were a little disappointed to find out they have another sister. Natalie turned a year old in March and loves her baby sister; she seems to think she's like her baby dolls, so we're constantly having to keep an eye on her. And of course, there's Coco the beagle who is such a playful dog; she's great with the kids, and they love to play outside with her. Now, Ella has become the perfect addition to our growing family; we can't imagine our lives without her. Welcome to the world our little princess Elizabeth -- we love you very much!
