I like Raven, it's ok!

My problem with Raven is that in my opinion it really only works for people with black hair and you never know what a kids hair color could end up being.

Raven is masculine to me since I see the bird as masculine. I don't find it dark or morbid, though. My step-father-in-law's "handle" is Raven & I like him, so I like the name.

It's pretty strongly associated with teenage goth girls who take the name for role-playing games or for writing morbid or angsty poetry. You know the stereotype: the girl dyes her hair black, wears a ton of black meye makeup and nail polish, wears all black clothing, hides in her dark bedroom playing oh, I don't know, Nine Inch Nails, cutting herself and playing with rune-stones. lol

That's white girls. I think it is a bit more accepted on black girls. Like the actress Rave-Symone, who was just as cute asa button. On black girls, I think it tends to be on a par with a name like Ebony.

I like it, but I don't think that I would ever use it, myself.
