Barron is a multi-millionare and renowned business man. He is also an egotistical jerk. He is superficial and had always dreamed of having a single child, a son, with his name. Well, his wife of a year got pregnant... with a girl. Although he is furious with the gender and inability to use his full name, he insists that the baby must have his name intergrated somehow. He doesn't want it too close to his real name, though, because he will have more children until he has a biological son to carry on his name. Anya, a quiet Russian model, hopes for the child to honor her beloved mother Olga somehow. She left Russia when she turned 21, and it is very difficult to visit her mom. Barron thinks Olga is an atrocious name.

After over a decade of trying, Lisa finally got pregnant--and with twin girls, nonetheless. Lisa loves babies, especially girls, and she is overjoyed to finally be a mother. She adores cutesy, frilly, nicknamey names, that are not too common. She also wants virtue names to honor the effort it took to get pregnant. Lisa would like the names to be related, and she does not care if it is tacky (she might even prefer that...). Lisa would like at least three names for each girl, and she doesn't care how it is distributed (i.e. a hyphenated fn and a mn, two mns, etc.) Grant just wants Lisa to be happy.

Fiona is a businesswoman, and she never thought she would be a mom. She and the baby's father are not together, and she plans on raising this child alone. Fiona is very no-nonsense, and she likes names that are straightforward and powerful. She wants her son to be strong and independent. But she is wary to use a name that is too popular. Fiona wants the mn to be Ray, or a name related to Ray somehow.

Jimmy and Sara just got married, and they were shocked to find out they are already expecting. They had planned to wait until they finished school to have children. They are nervous about the impending birth and the financial and time constraints they have. However, they are exciting for the challenge. Jimmy and Sara met at a country music festival, and they would like to honor that in the baby's name somehow. They both like simple names.

Tina and David have very different naming styles. Tina is outspoken and loves names she considers "hot" from her Spanish background. She wants her son to have a saucy name that honors the parents she loves dearly, Timoteo Pedro "Tito" and Maria Rosa. In her family it was a tradition for the names of the children to be close to the parents. Also, she loves alliteration. David wants the name to be common and plain, like his. He does not like the cutesiness of alliteration at all.
