Go ahead, be brutal :) I am a single woman living alone. Having lost my trust in men early in life, I have no intentions of getting married; thus if you have any children with fear of men, I would be a good mother for them. :) Yes, I am completely capable of taking care of children and making living on my own. I am willing to learn any language, adopt any race, deal with any disabilities, hire any type of counselor, etc. Please give me the children that others are too timid or otherwise unwilling to adopt because of those details. Thanks in advance! -Sari Seppänen

Dear Sari, Anna and Sofia, here are your new family members:Hope Malia Kekepania is 15 and from Hawaii. She was raped when she was 12 and not only lost her trust in men, but also in women. She doesn't accept any help whatsoever and refuses to go to therapy. We hope she will become more open and friendly with you and your two little girls.Keep us posted how Hope is doing!

6 months later...Hope was doing very poorly for a long time. She refused to trust me or her new sisters and usually just ignored us. Obviously, she refused therapy or counseling. We tried to put her in school but she kept getting in fights, so I homeschooled her. It didn't work very well. But Anna is very traumatized as well. She witnessed her mother kill her father and is severely afraid of strangers, as well as adults. I think she was immediately fascinated with Hope, seeing her in a similar state that she was in. Whenever Hope made a crude insult or joke, trying to break Anna into tears and make her go away, Anna wouldn't get it (because she is only 6, obviously). I think that innocence inspired Hope. They have a fairly good -- though far from stable -- relationship. Sofia sometimes is able to talk with them too. Hope is now doing better at school and we may put her back in public school in a year or so.Thank you for bringing us Hope -- though she is difficult to take care of, she has a very determined spirit and we are very glad she is in our home.-Sari, Hope, Anna, and Sofia Seppänen
