Thanks Nanaea, I think your right . I did a little in depth study of the name and it is pronounced
Jan --esse.
Jane is derived from John in the feminine form
and the esse is from the Latin to mean existance.
This is indicative of many lands of people example--Vietnem--ese
Chin--ese
Japan-ese
My fathers name was John and probably being born a girl they perhaps gave me the feminine form
of the name to keep it in the family. I have a long line of John's in the family---greatgrandfather---
grandfather---father--brother---nephews.
