[Opinions] Triplets in my local paper.
Their was this little article in my local paper about this couple who had triplets, all girls, and named each one after an important person in their life.Sylvia Ariel (Sylvia after author Sylvia Plath, and Ariel after her famous book of poems)Veronica Teresa (Veronica after St. Veronica of the Roman Catholic faith and late journalist Veronica Guerin, and Teresa after Mother Teresa)and Estella Barbara (Estella after Estella from Great Expectations and the heroine of Stella Dallas (awesome book!), and Barbara after both the paternal and maternal grandmothers)
Thoughts? Opinions?
I think they're all rather nice, with a sweet theme.

Terrific names! The namesakes are very nice too.

I am impressed; usually people with triplets always name them names that rhyme together or are kr8atyve. I may not be a fan of Barbara, but still, I am impressed.

Wow, very classy names and namesakes, imo

I think they're all great and very classy names. Nice to see these instead of three trendier ones(like Morgan, Megan, Mackenzie).

I think they're all three very nice, though I'd much rather it was Veronica Teresa than Veronica Theresa. :(And I don't mind the Sylvia Plath associations, myself. My roommate likes Plath as a middle name for a girl, though, and she's hooked me on the idea (but for her--I wouldn't steal from her, lol).Array

It's nice that they chose names that had such meaning to them. Myself, I would not choose Sylvia Plath as a person worthy of naming a daughter after. I'm not all that familiar with her writings, but she was a very messed-up, tragic person who did commit suicide. Just not a happy association. They should have realized it's Mother Teresa, not Theresa, it seems to lessen the association somewhat when the name isn't spelled like the person being honored.

Sylvia was tragic, yes, but not really messed up. She was more of an anachronism, a feminist before her time.
And I checked the article again, and turns out it was Teresa, not Theresa. Sorry. My Bad.

Wow, not bad at all! I really like the themes behind the names, too. Of course, Sylvia Ariel is probably my favourite since I'm a fan and all. :) Congrats to those parents not only on the birth, but on choosing such superb names!

I'm a huge Sylvia Plath fan too!

I like the names, but I'm not so fond of the namesakes! I mean...Sylvia Plath? Kind of grim. I mean, if you really like the poems, great, but maybe the combo should have been balanced with a merrier mn. And Estella from Great Expectations? She was kind of an awful girl. Anyhow, congrats to the couple!
