Lucy and William are having twin daughters! Lucy would like the girls to have romantic "princess" names, meaning that have belonged to real or fictional princesses, or which sound like they could be names of princesses. William would like their middle names to honour his mother Sarah Justine, his grand-mother Alice Bernadette, or his sisters Emily Judith, Isabel Marianne, and Jane Claudia. He'd also like his daughters to have cute nicknames.

Alexander and Fiona have decided to adopt a two-year-old girl from China. Her birth name is Xiumei, and Alexander and Fiona don't intend to rename her. However, since the names of their other children have been inspired by family names, they'd like to give Xiumei a family name as a middle name, too. This time they'd like to use names (or forms of the names) from Alexander's side of the family. Also, since the six-year-old Alec and the three-year-old twins are having difficulties pronouncing their little sister's name, they insist on coming up with a simple NN for her. The NN can be derived from either of her names.

Alexander's parents are called Alfed Edgar James and Meredith Claire. Her grandparents are called Annabelle Mae and Samuel Henry, and his siblings' names are Jason Ian Nicholas, Daniel Edmund Francis, and Ada Violet Josephine.

Mary and Simon are having yet another daughter! They love their daughters' meaningful and unusual names so much that they'd naturally like their third daughter to have a very special name as well. This time they'd like the name to represent their hobbies and interests. Mary loves literature - her favourite books are Alice in Wonderland, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and Don Quixote - and she also loves gardening. Simon enjoys cooking, and he plays the double bass in a jazz band, and he's passionate about music in general. Both are into travelling, astronomy, and visual arts.
