[Opinions] New set of twins-opinions?
My neighbour's brother and sister-in-law had twins two weeks ago and I found out their names today:
Persephone Maia
Hector AristaeusThe mother is a high school history teacher and the father is an Ancient history professor. Personally, I love the names, especially Hector Aristaeus.WDYT?

I love ancient history so I can respect their choice in names. I think Hector and Maia would've been nice together though.

I like Maia and Hector, Persephone and Aristaeus are a bit too much IMO

Aaawthese names are so gorgeous, and sound really nice together too. My only comment would be that Maia seems really tame, and a little overdone, in comparison with the others.

What a wonderful sib-set. Hector is one of my favorites and while I wouldn't use Persephone, I think it is beautiful. The mns are great, as well.

Love, swoon, smileI'm not going to bother elaborating because this would just be a gushy post about how absolutely fantastic these names are.

hehe I thought you would like them! When I heard the names I automatically thought of you. I also thought you might want to know that they came *very* close to using Homer as Hector's first name but chickened out after he was born saying that they just couldn't put him through the teasing.

I don't really like Hector Aristaeus, but I like Persephone Maia. Although I'm not crazy about Persephone, I love the nn Sephy.

LOVE Hector, but for some reason, I don't have the bravery to use it.
Persephone is also great! I like the nn Perry, personally. And considering the parents vocations, I think they made lovely, thoughtful choices.

I like them :) I personally wouldn't choose them. But I can see why they did. I am also going to be an Ancient Civilizations History Teacher. So I can respect these kind of names.

I love Persephone, I think it's a beautiful name. I can't say I like Hector though, but his MN is nice.

I like Persephone and Maia, though I'd not sure I'd put them together. The combo is a bit too Greek, imo, and Maia Persephone would flow better.I really like Hector and it's nice to see it these days, but Aristaeus? Not workable on a real child imo, even as a middle name. The fact that the father is an Ancient History prof gives the names more depth, though - it's not as if the parents just took a notion and went with it.
