Help[Opinions] Bellamy & Draven ...
WDYT of Bellamy (girl) & Draven (boy)?
I've liked both for a long time and for some reason I think they would sound good as siblings. They are both surnames, and if my sources are correct, Bellamy means "Beautiful Friend" and Draven means "Defender of Love"
Just a note, most sources state that Bellamy means "Handsome Friend" derived from Beau and Ami in French. However it makes more sense to me that it would be derived from Bella and Ami.

I'm not big on Draven.
I can't get past it being from "The Crow". Not that there's anything wrong with that (if you like that movie) but it's not one of my favorites. Just a little too dark for me, these days.
Bellamy is interesting. I kind of like it.

Well, The Crow is actually my favorite movie, so it certainly doesn't bother me : )

Getting big! Joce started Vacation Bible School this week and she loves it. Mina is just starting to talk. Things are busy, busy around here.
It occurs to me that it might be a bit hypocritical for me to not like the name Draven because it's from "The Crow" but to call my daughter Mina after the character in "Bram Stoker's Dracula". LOL! Ah, well.

I absolutely love Draven (but I'm biased, it's my son's name), but Bellamy is not one of my favorites... still, they sound good together in my opinion.

I really like Bellamy for some reason. I first saw it in a novel as the name of a horse and thought it was nice. The book also stated what it supposedly meant but I can't remember. It does have something to do with friend.
I don't really like Draven. It just doesn't appeal to me.
I think Bellamy and Draven work fine as siblings.

Bellamy is indeed "beautiful friend", but I always think of the awful character http://www.europeanbook.com/product2305.html
Draven sounds gothy to me, like Raven, Blake...

I don't like either, sorry. They both strike me as very trendy, especially Bellamy.
Also, Bellamy sounds masculine to me.

I like Bellamy. "Bel ami" is a famous novel by the French author Guy Maupassant. I always thought that it meant something like "pretty lover boy".
I don't like Draven. To me the letters DR don't sound euphonious. Maybe b/c of a lot of "un-nice" words begin with DR: Drab, drag, down the drain, drastic, drawl, dread, dregs, drench, dribble, drill, dripping, drizzle, drone, drool, droop, drop-out, drought, drown, drudgery, drugs, drunkard
But this is probably just me, there are nice things too (dream, dress)

Well considering at one point I actually really liked the name Raven, it doesn't bother me. Plus I really like ravens and crows. : )
Hmm, making nicknames for Bellamy, that might be a fun post to do.

Bellamy is okay I guess, you could call her Bella, and I have a cousin named Draven. I never heard of that name till he was born. It's an okay name, it's not really my taste.
