[Opinions] Re: Birth Announcements - What do you think?
in reply to a message by Lissa Hannah
GIRLS:
Abigail Rose - Pretty, but overused.
Jordan Lynn - Jordan is nice, on a girl. (On a boy it's been done to death.) Lynn is a filler though, nothing much to say about it ...
Alanna Jolie - I prefer Alannah like the term of endearment, but Alanna is my second-favourite spelling. Jolie just reminds me of Angelina, and I have nothing against her, apart from that she's very overrated.
Skyyla KeOndra - Two Y's? No need for that. Or for the mid-name capitalisation in KeOndra. Just too kre8iv for me.
Emily MaiHan - Emily is about as uninspired as you get. MaiHan is interesting, it reflects their heritage presumably.
Angelica Maria - Too sing-songy. Angelica still reminds me of the spoilt Rugrat.
Anna Hope - Pretty, but overused.
Nyeka Elise - Too many "eee" sounds for my liking. And Nyeka sounds a bit of a "Ricki Lake" name to me. I also find Elise quite filler-ish.
Naolani - Hmm these Hawaiian names seem to be getting trendy. I think they're very pretty, but I see them getting ruined by overuse sooner or later.
Reyna Marie - Reyna is nice. I don't know why they had to dumb it down with the unoriginal Marie. Bleh.
Ruth - Plain, not at all pretty, and has no character imo.
Janisa - Sounds invented to me.
Aurelie - Lovely. Really gorgeous sounding. It's such a shame about "orally".
Gabriella Faith - Lovely. A bit on the popular side, but only just.
Tyronique Brianna - Both "ique" and "ianna" sound very elaborate, so both of those in one combo is too much in my opinion.
Overall, the boys' names are just very overused and predictable. The girls' ones are more interesting :-)
