[Facts] Our Welsh Lady Merriment may confirm or correct this, but...
..."Pumpfry" appears to be a variation of "Pumphrey" which, according to Elsdon C. Smith of *The New Dictionary of American Family Names*, is a Welsh surname meaning: "The son of Humphrey (supporter of peace)"-- Nanaea

I quite like the sound of "Lady Merriment". Sounds like a title for someone who presides over a medieval banquet or Renaissance faire. :)-- Nanaea
