I like it. I view Rachel as very popular. I know so many of them! Rachel Celeste has a nice flow, and I like the balance of commonness and uncommonness.

I know only two Rachels...

I don't know ANY Rachels. I would use it, just because there is seriously NO ONE I know with that name. And that's important to me, I don't want my kid to have a name that four hundred other kids have. lol

I think of Rachel as a very mid-west name, not sure why.

Well, I live in the Midwest (Missouri) ... and nope, no Rachels here. lol But I can see where that would come from. It seems like a very down-home name. Kind of like Rebecca.
If I had two daughters, I think I'd call them Leah and Rachel. It's a Biblical thing. But they go very well together. =D

Weird. I live in Illinois, and I knew (personally, not thorugh repuation) at least five Rachels (& Rachaels) in high school, and I've met more in college.
