I love the name Max just on its own. I hate Maxwell and Maximillian - Maxwell seems very pedestrian and Maximillian is definitely trying too hard. Maddox is OK as a name, but a little pop culture trendy thanks to Angelina Jolie. Just plain Max is definitely the best option IMO.
