[Facts] Yep - Welsh wizard here

Emblem is a common 16th/17th century respelling of Emmeline (popularly pronounced Em-lin). Apparently there is a memorial in Chichester Cathedral to Emblem Miller, d. 1718, aged 17, so it was clearly a fairly popular spelling. Other spellings of the name include Emblin, Emlyn (also the spelling of a separate Welsh male name) and Imblen. (This information from The Oxford Dictionary of English Christian Names, E. G. Withycombe, always worth a read).
There is apparently no connection to the word 'emblem'.
