is indeed a Finnish form of
Michael
.
Mikos or Mikkos is also an Ancient Greek name (recorded in
http://www.lgpn.ox.ac.uk/
) meaning "small, little" (from "Mikro-").
I have also used "Mikos" used as a nickname of
Mordechai
by Greek Jews.
