[Facts] name pronunciation & gender
Is the name Gillian always feminine or can it also be masculine?
Is there more than one standard pronunciation for this name?

yes, more then one pronunciationThe Gillian has been used for both sexes, but in it's form Jillian, only for females.
I have only heard Jillian pronunced (Jeil-ee-ahn) ei like in 'it'
But for males I have heard it pronounced (Geil-ee-ahn).
Not really all to fond of the latter.~Silver

GillianHi Cindy,Gillian can be a male name as well:Gillian and Gillean are forms of the Gaelic name Gilla Eòin, which means "servant of St. John". Gilla Eòin is pronounced like guilyahyown (stress on the last szllable), but I'm not sure about Gillian...Regards, Satu
