[Opinions] Alivia
I was just thinking today that the name Alivia is quite nice. It's easier to say than Olivia (they are distinct, though very similar, to me - might depend on accent). At first I thought it was just a naff respelling, but when I saw that the original name it's linked to is "Alfihar", Alivia seems quite nice and legit. Or maybe I'm just clutching at straws lol ... WDYT?

Except that Olivia's derived from Latin oliva "olive", and was used as such in the Middle Ages. I think it wasn't until Shakespeare that Olivia was used as a fem. form of Oliver.
Think honestly think Alivia looks illiterate, and it's one of my pet peeves.

I just see it as a trendy form of Olivia. I don't care for either.

Yep, I pronounce it like Olivia with an A, although where I live it isn't with an "ee" sound, it's more like a-LIV-ee-a :-)

It just seems like a kre8tiv spelling of Olivia to me, sorry (and according to this site, it's a "variant" of Olivia). I do know a little girl named Alivia, her siblings are Caroline and Christian (so at least they are spelled correctly). Not sure why her parents didn't use the Olivia spelling. Olivia is rather popular, but a name that I really like, and I definitely prefer this spelling. :)
Like it much better than Olivia.
