[Facts] Re: Just for fun: What Esperanto is Behind Your Name?
in reply to a message by Nanaea
Hmmm - I never thought of Esperanto as having its own spellings of personal names, but it's only logical.
Give mine a shot, Miz Nan: Daividh Marshall (male, last time I looked)
Thanks!

Actually, I'm taking liberties with a lot of these Esperanto first names. However, the Esperanto surnames I give out are actual Esperanto words.
Yep, Esperanto names are pretty much expected to conform to the structure of the Esperanto language -- which means that all nouns must end in the letter "o", or may be represented by an apostrophe (as in Esperanto poetry).
Feminine first names, though, may end in the letter "a" as an exception due to the fact that names ending in "a" are almost universally (well, at least in Europe and the Americas) viewed as being feminine.
An Esperanto anagram of Daividh Marshall (substituting an "l" for a necessary "o") produces:
Avraham' Shildido
Pronounced: ahv-rah-HAM sheel-DEE-DO
Meaning:
Avraham
Shildido is Esperanto for: "Descendant of the Shield".
