[Facts] Meaning/Origin of two (2) names
My friend, native of England, has asked me to enquire as the origin and/or meaning of two names:- GASKARTH (her father) and THESSALIE (her name)
Replies
According to one source (http://www.dimensional.com/~gizmo42/threlk.html) Gaskarth is an old English name derived from
"...goose garth (enclosure), presumably denoting the situation of the cottage where the man lived who was first given this name..."
Thessalie is a French version of Thessalia (rendered as Thessaly in English), a fertile region in in east-central Greece. The region was home of the Centaurs.

I'll leave PriaposLovs to tackle your friend's first name of "Thessalie", as that sounds suspiciously like a placename in Greece to me.
"Gaskarth" is an English surname meaning "goose garth" (enclosure). As stated at this website:
