[Opinions] Shoshana?
I think it's a pretty name, but I'm not sure. How about Shoshana Anna?

I like this name. I only like this spelling too, otherwise it can get a bit much!

I would prefer Shoshana Channah :)

I wouldn't. I apologize for being blunt, but I don't know how else to say it.Cliffton T. Harris IX, loving brother to all of the following:

So I'll say it's rather common among Jews and we find it nice. Channah is of course pron. khah-nah, not shah-nah or something.

Shoshana is a nice enough name although it's nms. I don't care for Shoshana Anna because it sounds too echoic imo.
I'm too lazy to think of a clever signature.

Shoshana is very pretty. I agree with Miranda about the repetitious ending.

I like Shoshana, though it's a bit hard for me to say. It's exotic imo. I picture an exotic, beautiful lady with dark eyes.I wouldn't use Shoshana Anna at all, because of the -ana ending of Shoshana mirrors Anna so much.

It's one of my fave Jewish names, but since I am not Jewish, I'd never use it myself.I know one one Shoshana. She was Jewish, with pale skin, blue eyes and strawberry blond hair. But I picture a dark haired, exotic girl, too.

As I always answer, in that case you should avoid names like Michael, David, Sarah, Mary... too. And "pagan" names like Roman & Frankish ones. In fact, almost all the names.

why?I wouldn't name my kid Shoshana because it is pretty much only used by Jews (which I am not). It would be like me naming my child Mohammad, even though I am not Muslim. As for Sarah, David, Michael, I would use them (well, I wouldn't because I just don't like the names Sarah and David), because they are bibilical and generally popular English names. same goes for ethnic names- while I like common names such as Kierstin (German), I'd draw the line at naming my child something like Svetlana (as beautiful as it is), because I'm not Russian.
that's just me.

Well Shoshana is Biblical too, it's even in the New Testament. I understand for Mohammed & Svetlana, because our society isn't based on it like it is based on Judaism, through Christianism or not (since our civilization is the "judeo-christian" one).

My mother knows the wife of this person who's niece's name is Shoshanna (different spelling), though I don't know how that makes me an expert on this person LOL.Cliffton T. Harris, loving brother to all of the following:
