I'm guessing that it's a Spanish or at least Latin form of "savior." Or possibly another form of Xavier?

"Saviour" in Spanish is Salvador; in Latin it's...Servator (masc.) / servatrix (fem.) - "A preserver, a saviour; a watcher"
Sospita (fem.) - "The saviour". An epithet of Juno
Soter - "A saviour"
Suavior - "Saviour", q.v.Xavier in Spanish is Javier. It has no Latin equivalent afaik.I think Savion is in all likelihood simply a garden-variety modern (probably African-American) made up name.

Hi, Miranda,
Whilst i do not know the meaning of this name, i can say i have seen this before, as Savion Bava, an Italian in records from 1860's London. So i doubt the Afro American route, Regards Bagpus
