[Opinions] Re: Birth Announcements - What do you think?
I like:Samantha Marie
Alyssa Marie
Savannah Lynn - I know Savannah's trendy, and I would never use it for my daughter, but I just can't help liking the name! It's sweet.
Emma Elizabeth - A great name compared to some of the travesties we see far too frequently now, but ideally I think Emma should be paired with a middle name that doesn't start with a vowel sound.
Emma Celcilia - Is the middle name supposed to be Cecilia? Celcilia is such a weird spelling or variation, but I think Emma is lovely and classic.
Sean Anthony
George William - Curiously enough, I've really started to love the name George on a boy despite the fact that I despise the current President.
Francis Dean - I'm so happy to see Francis on a boy! I hope this becomes popular again; there's absolutely nothing wrong with the name, and there's so much history behind it.
Nathan Isaiah
Richard Francis - Francis twice in one birth announcement post! Amazing. Richard is a classic you don't see too often now, either.
Jeffrey Talley - I don't know if Talley is the mother's maiden name or just a random trendy combination of syllables, but I do really like Jeffrey with this spelling.
Max Daniel
Matthew Derick - Matthew Derek would have been even better. The worst of the bunch:
Ainaya - It screams made up.
Davily - A very awkward feminization of David?
Genimi Odessa - Genimi? I sincerely hope this was an understandable typo in a quick post on a messageboard, rather than a careless error made by parents who are saddling their daughter with a misspelled name for life. Gemini is bad enough; and I think Odessa is an ugly name. Actually, I dislike almost all O-names on girls.
Colby Ward - I can't imagine a grown-up Colby. Colby will forever be a seven-year-old buckled up in a soccer mom's minivan. And this Colby doesn't even have a real middle name to fall back on!
Bravo - Bravo just isn't a name.
Tayon - Apparently, another child whose parents were members of the let's throw together syllables that vaguely remind us of other trendy names school. The result? A completely meaningless, dissolvable, sugary, trendy name.
