[Opinions] Malina or Maline
Some close friends of mine are expecting a baby girl in April and had chosen the name Malina Renee but are now going back and forth on which they like better Malina Renee or Maline Renee. I'm leanig towards Malina. Malina ia prn MAL-leen-nah and Maline is prn MAL-leen.
They already have two daughters named Aubrey Anne (5) and Chloe Marie (2 1/2). So they would have Aubrey, Chloe and Malina or Aubrey, Chloe and Maline. Which sounds best, and wdyt of the names?

Personally I have always loved the name Malina. Although I think Maline sounds better with the other two siblings. I would go with Malina. The only reason I would never use the name is that someone once told me Maline refers to being sick. That just always sicks in my head now. I don't want to call a child have an illness.
Agreed - "malign" is the first thing I thought of too. I'd go with the form Melina, which is lovely :-)
