"Thorbjorn" is a combination of the names "Thor" ("thunder") and "Bjorn" ("bear") -- so it means either "Thunder-Bear" or "Bear of the God Thor".Perhaps someone else here may be able to tell you if the name has any specific historic significance.-- Nanaea
