[Opinions] Germanic Names ...
What do you think of these Germanic names (some are simply derived from Germanic elements):Alaric
Aldous
Amalia
Eleanor
Ella (My niece's name)
Emeric
Everard (The original form of my nephew's name, Everett)
Gilda
Harmon
Hugh (Family name)
Jocelyn (One of my very favorites)
Leopold
Lothair
Matilda
Rayner
Rosalind
Rosamund
Ulrich
Valda (Possibly the originally form of my SIL's name, Velda, could also be Veda)
Willard
Wolfram
Also what do you think of Sabrina (put aside connections to Audrey Hepburn and the teenage witch)When I was typing Rosalind, I accidentally put Rosaling and thought it was interesting. I think I would pronounce it ROZ-a-leen.

Leopold - I know a baby boy with this name, nn Leo :)
Matilda
Rosalind
RosamundSabrina isn't bad. I used to work with a Sabrina, and she was funny and nice, kind of tough, lol. I still see it on sort of a ditzy girl for some reason, though.

I don't vare for Sabrina, but only because this strange girl in school ruined it for me. I swear she was demon possessed. O.oWhen I was typing Rosalind, I accidentally put Rosaling and thought it was interesting. I think I would pronounce it ROZ-a-leen.
Reminds me of Rosling(pro. ROZ-ling), but Rosling is a surname. -Seda*

MatildaAnd I LOVE the name Sabrina (although I'm a big Audrey Hepburn fan and "Sabrina" is one of my favorite movies). I had it on my girlie name list but Patrick vetoed it. I think it's girlie and a bit frilly sounding, but also competent and smart.
