the word Sarava comes from writings of an African religion and is now used in Brazil to mean good luck.
Don't know if this still applies, but horse namers used to consider both the sire and the dam when naming the foals, so a sire called Whiskey and a mare called Blondie could have a daughter called White Spirit. So the place to look would be the stud book.
I typed Sarava in the web search and pulled something to do with a music group may be with a portuguese background.Anyone have any help?
Could it be a Celtic name? I think it sounds Celtic, don't you?
