I love it. I don't think it is as popular as it was in the 90's.Dana

Yes, I think it is. But if popularity is not a big issue with you, then go for it if you love it. I personally start to dislike a name once it becomes trendy or popular. :bI loved Hannah several years back (almost 10!). Hannah Elizabeth, Hannah Grace, and Hannah Rose were my favorite combos. Now they're all WAY too common for me. Hannah is a classic name, though, so I don't think it has or will become outdated, just overused, perhaps.

Hmmm...I haven't heard it on anyone that I know. My brother's good friend's little sisters name is Johannah. Other than that I haven't heard any. I personally don't like it, mostly because I associate it with my boyfriends dog.

Yes, it's too popular. Other than that it would be lovely._____________________________________________________________________"You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true."Elinor

Hannah is very popular here, but I still like it. It's feminine, sweet and classic. I don't let popularity sway me from names I love :)Edd: July 27, 2005(8 more days before we find out if we are having a boy or girl!)

I think it's very pretty, but, yes, WAY too popular for me to ever use.Leslie edd 4/17/05. Baby should be arriving via c-section April 8th, though.

Haha. My middle name is Hannah, and I hate it! I think it's a horrible sounding name. Anna is much nicer. No, I don't think it's popular.

YOU may not think it's popular, but it was #4 in the U.S. in 2003, just behind Emma, Emily, & Madison!

My comment...Well, I made that comment because I hardly see it on this message board, in local birth announcements, I don't know anyone named Hannah, nor do I hear the name when I'm out and about. So, I'm surprised by its ranking, as Emma and Madison are much more apparent in their popularity (more so than Emily, I think).Edit: Subject.

Here, in the US, it was ranked the fourth most popular name of 2003. I highly doubt 2004 was much difference. In my opinion, Hannah is VERY popular. I see it quite often. The oldest I can think of is 25 I think, and the youngest is 5. Despite the popularity, its an okay name. Not the best, but I do enjoy it. Its not overly feminine. If it wasnt so popular I would probably use it myself.

Ya, I'd say it is popular, but I still like it! I'd have to say that Hannah is the most cuttest name I've ever heard of!
