[Opinions] Rowena
Wdyt of this name? DH and I both love it, I think it's beautiful and also literary- from Ivanhoe, and I much prefer it to the more common, although Biblical, Rebecca. I also love Rowan on a boy, but I'm tired of hearing about it being used on a girl. Rowena is a much more feminine form imho. Some combos: Rowena Elizabeth- love this
Rowena Graceany other suggestions? Thanks!

I don't care for Rowena - I think it isn't flaterring sounding; not at all pretty. Rowan is much too feminine for a boy, anyway.Rebecca is so much nicer.I do like the name Elizabeth and Grace (only as a middle name, as you're using it).

I like Rowena a lot, it's not on my favorites list, but it should be. :reminds herself to add it asap:
I too think it's far more feminine than Rowan on a girl. Its pretty and ancient-sounding without being stale or too fussy. I think Rowena Elizabeth is a great combo!

I get a picture of a welsh princess or a queen when I think of this name. I love the old-fashioned (when I say old-fashioned, I mean medevial) feel to the name. I think Rowena Grace is beautiful.
