while this makes me SO sad, Riley is commonly being used for girls now which bothers me. i just feel sorry for the kid sitting in class with a girl who has the same name, i like boys to be masculine all the way.
so...may i suggest Ryland as an alternative to Riley?
and family names make great middle names...surnames included (for example, mother's maiden name?)

The child is being adopted so she doesn't want a family name and she is adamant about all of her children having -ey endings or I'd vote Ryland too.
