[Opinions] Very Old English Name of the Day...
I was reading the paper before work and noticed a death notice for an Athelstan Edwin.

Athelstan, what a fabulous name. People would shorten it to Stan though.
Yes
All I can say is wow! Athelstan's a bit corny imho, maybe for a historical novel, but not a real-life person, maybe he went by "Stan" or something?
Anyway, I think Edwin is cool! I also like Edward, Edmond / Edmund and Edgar, though Edward's my fave.

Well... technically, for it to be very Old English, it'd have to be Æðelstan Eadwine. Lol.
Athelstan's too much for even me for today's culture, but I'd love for Edwin to be revived (without it becoming super-popular, of course).
