I kind of like the name Sterling, but one of the things that holds me back is its whether or not it would age well. Unfortunately, I've also only met Sterlings that were girls and so for me I think its rather feminine & part of that unisex trend.

I think that Sterling would work on a grown man just fine, and I think that it is a great name!

I prefer Sterling as a girls' name. However, I don't know that it'd use it, because in most accents it is STUR-ling rather than STAIR-ling, which I dislike and would hear a lot.

I love the name Sterling and I know two 20 somethings named Sterling and its worked for them so far. I like the sound as well it seems rugged (ruged ?) or something.
