[Facts] Translation of name to Greek
How would you write Jordan in Greek??
Replies
The Greek name of the river Jordan both in the Greek Old Testament (LXX) and New Testament is JORDANES. This was also used as a personal name, there was a famous 6th cent. historian by that name (also: JORDANIS), who considered himself a Goth.
So in Greek it's: Iota - omikron - rhe - delta - alpha - nu - eta - sigma.
