I don't think it's cluttered, it just has a slight look of a (possibly dated) combination name like Marilyn, Carolyn, Rosemarie, Leanna etc.
I like it a lot.. think it's gorgeous. I like Juliana (pron. Julie-AH-na) a little better though, and Julia alone even better. I agree you need to spare yourselves the grandmother's reaction to using any Julie name though :-( Have you thought about Judith?

That's my DH's mother's name! :) My father-in-law won't be too keen on that either. Funny you suggested that though! :)
