[Opinions] Verity
WDYT of Verity? I like that its a virtue name but not one thats very over the top and obvious like say, Chastity or Patience (although I do like Patience). Is it useable or too much?

I don't care for it, sorry. It's not horrible, though.

I really like it. Verity, Honor, and Felicity are 3 of my favorite virtue names. I like them as middle names.

I think it's quite pretty and usable.

I like this one, because it's one of those virtues that's always a virtue by definition -- it doesn't sound pious like Faith can, like Patience, Chastity or even Charity does. It's not always good to be patient, chaste, charitable; no one has perfect faith. But the known truth - it's unassailable. I guess it's because verity is a quality of other things besides human beings, that makes this difference.Besides, I like the sound of it. Unfortunately the T comes out as almost a D sound in my accent. So I'd sound sloppy saying it, and that would keep me from using it. - chazda

I don't care for it. It isn't a very flattering sounding virtue name. I like Patience, and I don't think it's over the top. But, I do find Verity over the top.

I like it. I also like Clarity for some reason.

I like it too. It seems very sweet, and it's not very obvious at all today. In the Puritan days, Verity was considered one of the more "educated" virtue names (since it was a virtue name in the oh-so-posh Latin language). So Verity has a more aristocratic sound to it than other virtue names. Not that that's a bad thing; in fact, I like that quality.Miranda
